LA424 Probe Stand-Off

Stand-off pads are used for near field ultrasound imaging of Achilles tendon, scanning tendinopathy, joints and injuries. Much wider use for equine tendon ultrasound imaging within veterinary field better flexible contact and near field delay can be achieved when required, simple none metallic flexible pad adopts to the probe shape with gel in between the probe and stand-off material, slight rounded contact on the anatomical structures may allow better filed of view and stable contact on very narrow structures. Overall well design stand-off may improve ultrasound exams under difficult choice of limited frequency range, depth and penetration with good contact requirement. stand-off based ultrasound imaging exams can be made possible with various stand-off shapes and sizes available for linear and curvilinear probes available by brand and model of the probe to fit exactly as well as requirement of the physical characteristics of the ultrasound probes .
